Where the Women Know - copyright Sally Hope Woodroffe
The age-old ‘feminine’, gentle, soft, feeling, yielding, thinking, with the ability, openness to be intuitive? We know when things will happen, occasionally a friend will suggest something, and we know it’s not going to happen, not sure of the reason? But then, see why?
This ability can be grown, cajoled gently by listening, feeling, practising our skills, we do seem to be more in touch with nature.
Many years ago, I ran a weekly absent healing group for about for about 8 years, usually about 8 or 9 people, mainly women, but sometimes men too.
We must recognise, whether we’re male or female, we have 2 halves to our brain, one is feminine, the other, masculine.
The right side, the Feminine deals with, creativity, imagination, intuition, music awareness, insight etc
The left side, the Masculine deals with, analytic thought, logic, language, reasoning, numbers, science etc
No men jokes here lol, point is we need both sides equally for balance? the thing is, it's more about ‘how much practice’ each side has? for growth in both.
I think the reason men are warded off by these feminine subjects is they’ve been brought up ‘being a man’ with emphasis on sports, being strong, not crying, showing feelings, emotions, hopefully this is something that society has moved on from in this generation, but obviously there’s still huge pockets that haven't.
I’ve always believed, and seen proof of, sending ‘good wishes’ ‘healing’ to others ‘gets there’. Now with quantum physics showing us ‘how’ this is, it’s an exciting time.
However, I don’t question it now, don’t have to prove my beliefs, we can all decide for ourselves?
We as a group experimented in various different ways of healing, hands on, auras, crystals, homeopathy, mediumship, hypnotherapy, past lives, cleansing, drumming, different cultures Native American sage-Ing, blessing, Feng Shui, Druids (while living on a ley line of a history of druids who studied the stars) It fuelled my imagination, but also became known in the physical? But that’s another story.
It was a great time of experimentation with it all? But, in the end, I realised the common denominator was, our own ‘intent’.
You don’t need a huge ceremony to access your intent, that crystals or sage or potions are just ‘tools’, and it's our ‘focus’ that has whatever power we need, in whatever we desire to do.
I became a Professional Counsellor, then, (because I wanted to be more ‘mainstream’ than Hypnotherapy ) - it ‘focussed’ on solutions via ‘conversation’ and intuition played a big part of it all, but the strange fascinating thing about all of it was…
I realised, the majority of clients needed much more ‘self-care’ of themselves?
A whopping 99% of them!!
These figures are from 10 years of private and help line clients.
BTW, if you have a ‘work contract’ often there is ‘Free Counselling’ somewhere in it, a phone number, an ‘insurance’ for the firm, cos days off cost them money. Usually a course of apts are provided FREE.
And no they don't advertise it, it costs them money! but it's ‘farmed’ out to professional private counsellors, who will work en pat when time provides
Obviously, this is a vast fascinating subject, I even wrote a book! and developed a course too. (I must go into the attic, and get the dust off them)
Which meant in turn, I was working with so much of the similar issue - but my intuition was developed at such a fast rate, the experience was a very interesting ten years!
The human condition ‘research’ has always fascinated me from year dot, and writing music always been my mainstay throughout my life – so I think this explains a little of why I got to writing ‘Where the Women know’ when I did.
