Sacred Songlines 2
(2024 copyright Sally Hope Woodroffe)
We've put the father and mother in the land
to grow flowers of understanding
this earth is who we're thinking of
when we truly show our love
chorus:
...and she is everything
like the breeze that touches your hair
and she is all to me
I don't know why you don't see her
we've put the trees in hearts of stone
Not sure why they sit on the throne
they were our lungs that took the turn
to breathe our lives into the ferns
And all the time she comes to me
crying to be released
And then she touches father sky
they together live happily
Don't take the earth water or sky
we need your love just next to us
we send you heart for your time
and take our hearts and give you love
We've put the Father and Mother in the land...

I thought I'd give you a little background behind this new song, you may be interested in.
I actually recorded another live video of it, but then came upon the idea of tuning my piano to 432 hz, which is the tuning of the universe - apparently changed in the 50's to 440? - yet surprise surprise, if you look up who used 432 hz it will knock your socks off!
Artists like The Beatles, Prince, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, etc ! Even Taylor Swifts new mastered albums?!
Here's a spotify playlist of classics in 432 hz
So yeah, re-tuned my piano to 432hz to re do video!
But anyway, here's a little background of what this song is all about.
In my twenties, I looked onto many cultures, fascinated by why, who, how etc, I guess me, growing up, looking for the meaning of life?
The Native American way of life and philosophies felt like, I knew them, they ARE a part of me?
The plains, the simple life, the spirituality of the land and honouring it by giving thanks with ceremony.
It makes so much sense to me, and yes I love my home, I 'sage' it regularly, I connect to my garden my feet on the earth spiritually.
I guess, I've always thought of ourselves as being like 'gypsies' in our physical movement around the globe, but the magical, spiritual, has always been with us, it's more connected to the culture of Native American way of life, family around us, wherever possible.
When I was 'researching spiritual, philosophical ways, I learnt channelling, healing, mediumship, and received many readings
I was told that my now husband (of 35 years!) and I knew eachother as Native Americans, in one of our past lives, male and female yet, he was my wife and I his husband - I used to go into the mountains to sing!
Sounds like me, in one of our longest 'places' yet, I used to sing to the lush green mountains which attracted the cattle, they'd all line up along the fence, as my audience, they were a very attentive and satisfying one.
At the moment, I seem to be stuck in a singing for the earth momentum, that just keeps happening, so I have to allow it.
Which is why or what this song is about, yet, also, in 2020 a dramatic double shift of us becoming the elders except for my Aunt.
It's like, personally, they were challenging relationships for me and my husband, so far removed from us, our beliefs, some, we could never gel. So unlike my Mum who was all just about love, 8 years previously.
And so is love...
The begining of the song is surely, too, how the land transforms relationships into flowers, of others and our understanding.
And then there's freedom along with it, like a spell has been broken across the land, it breathes the release of wildness allowed under the blue sky
And NOW is the time to prosper, to sing to the land, to repair, to build, grow our talents
The male Father sky and Mother earth IS connecting again...
