Learning? It's imperative to be passionate caretakers of nature
How can you not care about the ground you're walking on?

I've been busy with family, with work, a new song, and yes, eventually a new album and learning more of my job - the creak of my brain cogs turning, but...I think I had a breakthrough!
Do you do that with learning new things within your work? No no no! I just want to...blah blah blah and I'm kicking and screaming towards the thing that's actually going to help me? I don't know, what are we like!
I've been reading the the Knepp Wilding project updates. The story of a couple with a failing 3,500 acre farm who began re-Wilding their land 20 years ago, and now...
They have Turtle Doves and Nightingales which are rare, in fact endangered now in the UK
And...
A record of 53 fledged white storks this year! One of the GPS tagged ones is actually staying close to home, it must realise it's 'got a good thing going' there! You can follow some of the other migrations by subscribing.
It's amazing when you realise, they havnt bred here in the UK since the 15th century!
There's also a Wilding documentary on you tube, and of course their book 'Wilding' by Isabella Tree is fantastic
They truly are pioneers! check them out here:

I always find myself apologising 'again' for writing another song about the earth, and what little respect we give it, but why? When more of the same continues, and as one of the population, how can one person stop the constant production of plastic, or the farming community using pesticides instead of working with the land, like Knepp do?
As far as I'm concerned it's been proved by them, that it is possible, it works for all species to thrive along with the earth!
Who can dispute this?
So why, when we have the answers in front of us, don't we learn from them, and change the way of farming to work with the land and not against it?
So, until it does change, by spreading further, I'm afraid you'll have to put up with my, 'BTW you guys' * (see note below) remember the reality of whats happening to the Earth, global warming etc, insects, etc
well...let's crack on shall we? Or maybe crack on and actually do something about it?
'We've' got a lot to do, and I'm supplying the soundtrack as we make change happen.
The latest one is called 'Oh Mother' or maybe 'Out of the fog'?
'If only we had the choice'...
Its ironic cos we do have choice, dont we? but how, as individuals CAN we make big changes in reality? If you've any ideas let me know?
On another note, I cannot believe in a three year olds sentence this week he came out with 'you guys' lol
It's so prevalent, supposed to be 'hip' I guess, but cringe worthy when heard over and over or even everywhere?
A wise soul I say coming in at number 2, he's learnt at school already that exercise is good when you feel angry?
He did ask why uncle simon was no.1 and he wasn't?
All I can say is 'Crack on' with peace, ecology, caring for all nature, kindness etc
Thing is, I don't personally know anyone who isn't into these qualities, of which I'm incredibly grateful for...but I know we're so fortunate to have the choice
