With 'just' a mere 69 million pounds!
I used to live in a 'valley that time forgot' no seriously, that's what it's like - you come across these pockets of natural beauty that are just stunning!
Seriously from the top it looked like Switzerland!
To begin with it was a holiday, away from restraints around us, the longest time in a home we'd ever had! But, eventually became time for us to rejoin the world!
There we're many creative people around there, and farmers, locals - some? didn't even notice birds, red kites or appreciate the beauty, we all get like that, taking things for granted sometimes.
My husband saved a farmers life after a tree fell on him while chopping it down! - it was a gruesome sight, the farmer on the brink of hyperthermia, his response? 'someone would of come along if you hadn't?'
He was how shall we say it? against anyone not born in Wales, could not possibly say 'thank you' to a man, even if he did save his life?
His sister came by after and thanked my husband.
I know farming is tough, dependant on subsidies, I'm not sure sheep or cattle farming is working 'with the land'
I prefer the Knepp Estate way, working 'with' the land, allowing a natural habitat for all creatures and insects.
Wilding by Isabella Tree, the Knepp Estate amazing story and place to visit.
I read a John Lewis Stemple book of farming in the old fashioned way, that promoted wildlife throughout the year, its a great read.
I couldn't decide which one to recommend as they are all so touching :)
I must buy some more, his writing is exquisite!
It's like we've created a sterile, non efficient world, man, always knowing better than nature?
Instead of eating within the season, we're shipping or flying food all over the place when there's no need to?
Are planes ferrying food round the globe and contributing to the fuel crisis?
YES 100%!
Fuel subsidies can then be used to develop organic farming?
We would be healthier, along with promoting our animal and insect population?
If 1 teaspoon of pesticide on a sugar beet crop can kill 1 billion bees, (which for the 4th year is still ok in the UK?) imagin what it does when that sugar beet is fed to cows, sheep etc, and ourselves, in our own food chain.
Which is why I try to eat organic veg and healthy sourced meat. In the supermarkets organic veg is competitive, now demand is growing?
It's common sense isn't it?
I understand how farmers are tempted to take subsidies for significant conservation areas?
Thinking...and cashing in, on giant wind turbines 'opportunities'? as a way forward for their grandchildren?
Even if it does look like Switzerland atm
Wrong, they're attempting to destroy more treasure, raping, pillaging the earth, until its finally destroyed? Making the world a worst ecological disaster for their grandchildren?
Why?
The giant turbines, lets get it straight, they kill birds, insects, killing whales, creating 'turbine foot in horses, cattle' interfere with health, de-value properties, rip up valuable conservational untouched areas, with concrete, roads, (sand ripped out of the sea bed) and then produce more waste when decommissioned?
...'covered up' with more earth? or sand?
Oh and they use diesel?
Another case of man working against nature, 'untouched land of special interest' - its not just happening in the UK its all over the world?
We CAN protect untouched land, we only have one planet, we're all on it!
The cost? Of this ridiculous idea?
I know, 69 million pounds!!
(the proposed amount available for giant turbines, in Wales, uk)...BUT it...
WILL make a huge leap forwards to develop organic farming in the uk?
We have so many wonderful experts around to lead us with this...
Dick Strawbridge (engineer) Charles Dowding (no dig gardening) Monty Don (gardener) John Lewis Stemple can (write the amazing books) of 'How to' of all the professors out there who CAN lead us all?
Question:
Who would you suggest, some of the masters of these fields? (excuse the pun)
Let me know in the comments
...
Please sign any petitions to lead us towards any of these changes, its all connected, we are too!
Note: 'Welsh Wind Turbines - The Truth' group on fb seems to be compiling a lot of info around the world too, so please join
Looks like mid Wales's campaign is won by 89 objections to the 'mast' test for wind turbines planned? - so objections DO matter - Though, I'm wondering 'why' it has to be re-proved in every proposed place?
Just think of that 'Garden of Eden' we CAN create, to enjoy WITH our grandchildren
As the song goes...
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
