I never thought who fed the fire (of you feeding the fire)
and I thank you now, in the house
I sat outside on the swing just being
in my dream of waking up
in the green
How come I never wondered how
I just felt the warmth you gave
and I'm so grateful for your love
you did it for us, unseen
there was a joy I'd forgotten
you kept us together for so long (no matter what)
lived your life through us kids
as we danced around the room
in my proud paisley hips
we sang in the car sound in the air
took us to other realms
and horses or courses on weekends rain
home on our backs in a tent again
just to relax we had some happy moments
just a child's view never seeing
what's behind the smile
all I found was love to take
me further down the road
now I see another child
so precious to the fold
innocence protective arms
the same story unfolds
an it's the love we do it for
there is nothing more precious
and all the while I think of you
and bless your mothers smile

Beautiful Poem! That wraps up a beautiful childhood memory. I have that too.
